Learn how to express yourself through interpreting literature. Explore a chosen narrative and characters, practice taking an audience to the next level, learn how to do more than tell the story - you will become the story. Work in a fun collaborative format while you experiment with blocking a scene, transitioning between events and assigning nuance and pathos to characters both similar to and wildly different from your own personality.
Brush up on effective speaking skills and be ready to compete in Dramatic or Humorous Interp or Duo Acting as soon as the speech season begins. Taught by coaches with real-life experience in theater and speech and who have taken competitors all the way to Nationals.
Hear from award-winning interp captains and duo actors about how they have juggled high school demands with successful speech careers at SAA. Also invited to speak and perform is nationally-known storyteller Rabbi Dan Gordon.
No shorts or flip-flops, please. Snacks provided. Camp will be held in SAA’s choral room.
